All Rewards Shipped!

After a marathon session of printing, packing, and shipping, all Rewards for the Relics of Wizardry Kickstarter were dropped off at the Post Office yesterday and are on their way to you now.

I took the Relics out for a spin last night and everyone that saw them was extremely interested.  If your experience is the same as mine, you'll get a lot of questions about where you got the Relics. 

I'm working on some product shots and will be listing them in the OMA Store this weekend. 

I'm working on the after action report and will have it up soon.

Seattle, WA locals should be receiving their Rewards today.  If you're up for it, I'll be at Mox Boarding House Bellevue tonight for Commander Night.  Hopefully I'll see a few of you there.

I want to thank you for being so patient with me.  I know the wait has been long, but it is definitely worth it.

Shipping to Commence Next Week

I have confirmed that all of the Relics are in the country and will be arriving to the OMA offices next week.

Labels are already printed and we are ready to ship out as soon as they get in.

Shipping will begin on Thursday, May 17th.  I will have everything ready to go so we can have everything out the door on Friday, with Saturday left for any stragglers.

There is still a good amount of work to do in the meantime, but I wanted to share the good news.

Once everything is out the door, I'm going to do an after-action report and go over what I have planned for Relics of Wizardry in the future.

Projects We Love

While I have your attention, I wanted to let you know about a project that I've already backed and am pretty excited about.

Cubeamajigs, by the fine folks at Cardamajigs, is a set of reusable packs perfectly designed with Cube players in mind.

I've already signed up for 2 sets for my Kev Walker Cube and an Art Cube I have been meaning to update for a while.

If you're in the market to upgrade your Cube game, I would highly suggest checking out the project.

Production Complete!

Kaloo kalay, I got some great news today!

Just a few minutes ago, I received confirmation that production of all of the Relics is complete and they are being prepped for shipping to the OMA offices.

It's taken longer than expected, but we're really in the home stretch now.

Survey Lockdown on Monday

With production now complete, I need to start preparing for shipping by printing labels and prepping packages. 

To make this possible, I will lock down changes to Surveys and Addresses on Monday, April 30th at Noon PST. 

I will also be charging cards for all Rewards purchased through Backerkit at this time.

This leaves a little time for you to get a few more Relics, update your address, and make sure your payment information is correct in the system.

Once the surveys are locked down and cards charged, I can get everything ready so that we can begin shipping as soon as the Relics arrive.

I'm so glad to finally be able to send this update.

Light at the End of the Tunnel

New updates from the mint!  Not the news I was hoping for, but promising news nonetheless.

The gold and silver coins are all plated and we're just waiting on the copper and bronze plating to be completed.  Then inking, a few quality control checks, and they will be packed up and shipped out to me.

All in all, the updated date for completion of manufacturing is Friday of next week.

Add another 7-10 business days for expedited international courier service and we have an estimate date of arrival to the OMA offices of May 11th.  Shipping will begin the same day.

Now, as we've been down this road a time or two already, the date may change, but I've got a good feeling about this one.

Next Steps

With an estimated shipping date now in hand, I need you to double check your survey to ensure that the following items are correct:

• Shipping Address
• Payment Information
• Order Contents

Once I have confirmation that the Relics are shipped out, I will be locking down all Backer information, both order and address details.

We're Making Progress

Well, it appears my last deadline of late March was not as solid as I had hoped it would be. 

Thankfully, after a few weeks of no news, I finally received an update.

The Relics are all minted and polished and are in the queue for plating. The current estimate for completion of production is April 15th.  They assured me that the date is solid, but with them initially estimating mid-March, there may be some unexpected variance.  Hopefully not.

Now, that doesn't mean that shipping will begin on that day. I still have to get the products in hand, packed up, and prepared for shipping.  I've already paid for Express Shipping, so hopefully I will have all Relics in hand well before the end of April. 

Shipping will begin as soon as we get the coins in hand.

I did get to show off some of the Relic prototypes at GP Seattle over the weekend and the response was really positive.  I know they are taking way longer than you or I expected, but I know they are going to be worth the wait.

My Apologies

I wanted to take some time and apologize for the lack of updates and communication on my part in the recent weeks.  The lack of progress on the production front and missing every deadline I put up left me feeling a bit embarrassed and, combined with a pretty active home life with a newborn, I put off making updates much longer than I should have.

After delivering three large Kickstarters on time, I know what level of communication and coordination is required to make everything run smoothly and for the last few weeks I haven't been able to deliver that. 

Going forward, I will make sure to reply in a more timely manner and keep you all up to date on what is going on with the Relics project.
