5 Days Left! - Liquids Test, TCG Player Interview and more!

We're now in the final week of the Relics of Wizardry campaign, and we're less than $1,000 away from the next Stretch Goal.

Since the last Update, we've been hard at work on more Relic designs, with Time getting its finishing touches and The Monarch coming together.

When we hit $12,500, each backer will be able to vote on which of the two we'll make next, with more options available if we hit even more goals.

Liquids Test

I've received multiple requests to show how the Relics handle water, so I decided to put them through their paces with various liquids they might run into in regular use:

 The beer was delicious.  Great way to celebrate a successful test.

Weeks later, the coins are all in good shape, so there are no rusting or other issues, even with prolonged exposure to liquids.

We're still waiting to get a grade from The Professor at Tolarian Community College, but the Relics passed this test with flying colors.

TCG Player Interview

The team at TCG Player has always been supportive of my projects, from Classic Art Tokens, to the Vegas Art Show, and now with Relics of Wizardry.

Last week, I spent some time with Adam Styborski, Stybs for short, and talked with him about what goes into making a Relic and where the idea came from.

 

More Reviews and Feedback

We still have a few sets of prototypes going out to reviewers and influencers in the community.

Here is some of the feedback we've received recently:

We're so excited to see so many people enjoying the Relics.  We can't wait to get them in your hands as well.

Over the next few days I'll be doing everything I can to get the word out about the project before it closes.  We've still got a few Stretch Goals available, and I hope we can get as many as possible.

Relics of Wizardry is Fully Funded!

With over 250 backers, we are now well above our funding goal and already nearing the first Stretch Goal!

I'm blown away by your continued support and passion for our project.

First Stretch Goal in Sight

Now that we are fully funded, we can start talking about the really fun stuff, Stretch Goals.

Once we hit $10,000, a new design will be unlocked for all backers along with an extra Relic for all Pick Your Relics backers, bringing your total up to 11 coins of your choice.

The new design is already completed and we're pretty excited to be able to make it a reality.

Here is a mockup of a few of the new design, our Landmark/Brick counter.

We designed the coins to combine to create a larger shape, with three coins making a Pyramid on the card.  For cards like Treasure Map and Oracle's Vault, this should be very useful.

We are already started with prototyping, so we should have final proofs ready before the end of the project!

Beyond this coin, we have many options available for you to vote on once we hit $12,500 and beyond.  Most likely we will present 2-3 options and go with the Relic that gets the most votes.  We want to make all of the Relics we can think of, but time and budget keep us grounded. 

Thankfully, we have your support to make ever more Relics possible.
